My background.
I am fully registered with the Society of Homeopaths, the largest of the bodies registering homeopaths, now representing 60% of the profession. The Society is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2008.
Before registering with the Society, I trained at the London College of Classical Homeopathy for four years, and graduated in 1996. This college was then accredited to the University of Westminster and became the first in the country to obtain degree status for its course in Homeopathy.
In March 2004 I was elected to the Board of Directors of the Society of Homeopaths. During this time I have served on the Professional Standards Committee, the Membership Committee, and also as Professional Conduct Director. Before serving on the Board I was an assessor for the Society’s registration programme, which involved site visits to candidates and assessment of their portfolios for registration.
I am a Supervisor at the South Downs School of Homeopathy in Chichester, where I work with students on their clinical cases for submission, and at the low cost student clinic, which I run from my practice.
As a complementary health professional, I am committed to continuing professional development and as well as frequently attending seminars and conferences, I also run teaching workshops for homeopaths in the name ‘Rx Homeopathy Talks’. Specialist speakers are invited to keep us up-to-date with some of the new remedies, which are continuing to expand our Materia Medica.
If you are interested to learn more about homeopathy yourself, I run first-aid courses from time-to-time. These workshops aim to give you the confidence to prescribe for you and your family in every-day health situations.
I am fully insured and am bound by the Society of Homeopaths’ Code of Ethics.
